Sunday
Plenty of cloud around through this morning over most of the UK and Ireland. There will be some outbreaks of rain, most of it light, across the far south of England. An area of more persistent rain over eastern and southern Scotland, this extending into the far north of England too. Elsewhere there may be a break or two in the cloud, allowing a few sunny spells to come through. Into the afternoon heavy showers do look like developing over much of central England and eastern Wales, some of the showers thundery in places. Further rain over central and southern Scotland, although drier to the west. Ireland will have some cloud and outbreaks of rain, these turning heavy to the far south. Later in the day more persistent rain will be affecting the Scilly Isles and Cornwall. Temperatures around 15 to 19C.
Sunday night
An area of rain passing along southern coasts of England, with some drizzle into eastern and southern Ireland, as well as west Wales and southwest England. Central and eastern England drier but rather cloudy. Over northern England it should be dry with broken cloud, and apart from rain in central and northern Scotland, most of Scotland should be dry. Lows near 9 to 14C.
Monday
More rain cross southern parts of England and Wales through Monday. This could be heavy at times, although confidence is fairly low in this. For northern England it should be brighter and drier with sunny spells, and the dry weather extends into Ireland too. For much of southern Scotland the day should be staying dry with sunny spells. Northern Scotland is likely to have thicker cloud and some outbreaks of rain. Highs near 21C ion the sunshine over northern England, nearer 15C in the far north of Scotland.
Tuesday
A few showers affecting eastern coasts of Scotland and northeast England, as well as parts of East Anglia on Tuesday morning. These should clear into the afternoon leaving plenty of sunshine. Further west the day is likely to be dry with sunshine, although increasing cloud in the west of Ireland may bring some rain here later. Highs at 23C in the sunshine over southern England, 16C through central Scotland.
