Tuesday
Just a few well scattered light showers will pop up around the eastern coasts of England and Scotland this morning. For the bulk of the United Kingdom it's a fair, dry bright morning with sunny spells and patchy cloudiness. A number of showers will affect eastern areas of Scotland and England during the afternoon, one or two heavy. It clouds over across Northern Ireland but for the rest of Britain it's mostly sunny and dry. Highs of 17C for Edinburgh, 19C for Birmingham and 20C for London.
Tuesday Night
Fine this evening for most areas but outbreaks of rain move into Northern Ireland and the far west of Britain. Overnight the rain spreads into all but East Anglia and the south east of England, becoming heavy in the west. Lows of 10 to 14C.
Wednesday
Quite a breezy day across the country. Dry across south west England with a few showers for Northern Ireland. The remainder of Britain is wet with spells of rain. The rain clears all but the south east before the afternoon then clears south east England in the early evening. Some heavy showers are expected across Scotland and Northern Ireland. Dry and mostly sunny in between the showers and rain in the south east. Highs of 17 to 22C.
Thursday
Persistent rain across the north of Scotland will become showery in the afternoon. For all other areas it's a day of cloud and frequent and heavy showers with a risk of thunder. Most of the showers will become confined to the western coasts this evening before they fade completely overnight. Top temperatures of 16 to 20C in a brisk south west wind.
