Thursday
Wet this morning with a band of moderate to heavy rain expected across central and southern parts of England. Persistent rain is also expected across the north of Scotland. Elsewhere it's a morning of sunshine and heavy showers. Through the afternoon the rain in central and southern England will be clearing from the west as it turns sunnier. For the remainder of Britain expect frequent showers, many heavy with a risk of thunder. A chilly day with top temperatures of 15 to 18C for most areas.
Thursday Night
A fine, sunny evening to come for southern parts of England. Just a few scattered showers to come this evening across Wales, Northern Ireland, Scotland and northern England. A few sharp showers will persist across northwest Scotland tonight otherwise it's dry with clear spells for the bulk of the United Kingdom. Lows of 10 to 14C.
Friday
after a dry, sunny start to the morning in most areas, scattered showers will develop though many areas will stay dry. Little change in the afternoon with a mixture of cloud, sunny spells and scattered showers. These look heavier in the north west of Scotland but few likely across eastern and south east England. Outbreaks of rain are forecast for northern Scotland in the evening which spreads into all of Scotland overnight. England and Wales along with Northern Ireland stay fine and dry with well broken cloud. Highs of 15 to 19C.
Saturday
A wet day in store for Scotland with outbreaks of rain. England, Wales and Northern Ireland will have a dry day with lots of sunshine so feeling warmer than of late. Light, patchy rain across Scotland fizzles out this evening and most parts of Britain will end the day dry with some late sunshine. Continued dry and clear overnight with a few mist patches developing by morning. Top temperatures of 16 to 22C.
