Friday
The far north of Scotland will be overcast today with outbreaks of rain. For the bulk of the United Kingdom the morning dawns dry and mostly sunny. A scattering of light showers will develop mainly across Wales and south west England. Continued dry and bright for Northern Ireland. For England and Wales there will be good dry, sunny spells but any place could catch a light shower. Expect maximum temperatures of 15 to 18C in the north and 19 to 21C in the south.

Friday Night
This evening an area of light rain will skirt channel coast with any showers fading to late sunshine across northern England and Wales. The rain in the far south quickly moves away. Dry then overnight with clear spells. Outbreaks of light rain will persist across northern parts of Scotland. Lows of 10 to 14C.

Saturday
Light rain will again fall across the north of Scotland throughout the day. A dry, mostly sunny morning across England and Wales. Later in the afternoon light rain pushes into Wales and the south west of England but staying fine and dry to the east. In the evening the rain peps up as it spreads across the southern half of England. Overnight it gradually clears from al but the extreme south of England. Highs of 15 to 22C.

Sunday
Residual rain and drizzle along the channel coast will soon move away but will linger across Cornwall and Devon into the afternoon. Quite misty too along the coasts. Scattered, light showers will develop across Northern Ireland and Scotland with one or two across the north of England. Much of England and Wales though looks mostly sunny and dry. Top temperatures of 15 to 21C.
