Wednesday
Rather windy and unseasonably cool across the United Kingdom today. Some persistent rain is forecast for eastern Scotland and northern England. To the south expect lots of heavy showers. In the afternoon it's sunshine and showers for most areas. While some will be on the heavy side, they should turn lighter from the west during the afternoon with more sunshine coming through to most areas. Temperatures will be in a range of 15 to 20C but feeling colder in the wind and out of the sun.
Wednesday Night
Still rather windy into the evening and night. Central and eastern parts of England, Wales and Scotland will see any showers soon fading to some early evening sunshine. Towards the west the showers will continue into the evening and night. Lows of 8 to 12C.
Thursday
Quite a blustery, unsettled, cool and showery day to come for much of Britain, Expect some heavy showers along with brief sunnier, drier spells. More persistent rain is expected across the far north of Scotland. Here the rain lingers into the evening and night with winds to gale force winds. Mainly dry and clear for the remainder of the country with just a few showers dotted around western coasts. Highs of 14 to 19C.
Friday
Largely dry across Northern Ireland, southern parts of England and East Anglia this morning with the best of the sunshine. Elsewhere look for scattered showers. In the afternoon most places will see a few showers but mainly dry across the West Country into Wales and Northern Ireland. Some light rain may edge into Wales tonight while the bulk of Britain has a dry evening and night. Still cool today with maximum temperatures of 15 to 19C.
