Sunny spells for some Rain in western Scotland seiten=4 abk=focus

Friday
Some cloud continuing to affect parts of East Anglia and the far southeast of England brought about by the mainly northerly breeze. There is a chance that the cloud could be thick enough to produce a few spots of drizzle over high ground, especially at first. Brighter weather in southwest England, the Midlands, northeast England and Wales with sunshine here through the morning. More western and northern parts of Wales as well as northwest England could have more cloud with some spots of drizzle on the hills. Increased cloud over parts of Ireland, with some patchy rain in the far northwest. Western and northern Scotland have cloud too, again with some light rain. This afternoon sees some more persistent rain over western Scotland, with increasing winds here. Some rain may trouble the far north of Northern Ireland and parts of Cumbria too. Eastern Scotland is going to be drier with sunny spells coming through. For most of England and Wales as well as southern Ireland the weather will be much brighter and drier with sunshine coming through in most areas. The far southeast may stay cloudier, although it will be dry. Temperatures to 24C in the sunshine over the Midlands, 17C in western Scotland.

Friday night
Cloud and some patchy rain may drift back westwards through East Anglia and southeast England during the course of tonight. For much of the rest of England, Wales and much of southern Ireland the night should be dry with some clear skies. Cloud and some periods of rain over Northern Ireland and the west and north of Scotland, with the most persistent rain over the northern Highlands. Eastern and southern Scotland should be drier. Lows at 10 to 14C.

Saturday
Once again a problem with some morning cloud and spots of rain on high ground through East Anglia and southeast England. As on Friday this should break up with the sun coming through into the afternoon. Much of England and Wales will be dry with plenty of warm sunshine, although there could be some morning cloud over northern parts of Wales and northwest England. Further cloud and patchy rain for Northern Ireland, with western Scotland remains damp with the most persistent rain in the northwest. East Scotland stays drier in broken cloud. A very warm day in the south at 25C, nearer 15C in western Scotland where it will also become windy.

Sunday
A band of cloud through northern England bringing a risk of a shower here, this cloud perhaps slipping into the Midlands. For most of the Midlands, Wales and southern England it will be a brighter day with plenty of sunshine and dry conditions. A few showers in Northern Ireland and around the coasts of Scotland. Elsewhere it should be dry with broken cloud and only an odd bright spell. A cooler day for all with tops of 22C in southern England, 17C in northern Scotland.
