Tuesday
A wet morning to come across most of Scotland and Northern Ireland. The most persistent of the rain over western parts of Scotland, with fog shrouding the hills. The far north of Scotland should be drier with some sunny spells, the best of these in Shetland and Orkney. For northern England there will be cloud and some patchy rain, mainly on the hills which will also have some low cloud shrouding them. For more southern parts of England, Wales and southern Ireland the morning will be cloudier than recently. Overall it should be dry, although an odd shower may trouble the coasts of Norfolk. The afternoon sees the rain clearing from western Scotland, although still some around in the east. There could be more cloud and drizzle or light rain over the high ground of northern England with a few showers over southern Ireland. Most of central and southern England as well as Wales, except the far north, should have a dry afternoon, although rather cloudy again. Temperatures at 15C in western Scotland, 21C in southern England.
Tuesday night
More persistent rain slipping into northern England this evening, with some spots of rain into the Midlands and north Wales too. Eventually the more northern parts of England will become drier with clear spells. Scotland and Northern Ireland will be dry with some clear skies and it will be chilly too. Some cloud and patchy rain over parts of East Anglia, but most of England should be dry. A chilly night under clear skies with lows of 3C in central Scotland, 4C in northern England and 12C over southeast England.
Wednesday
There could be an odd shower over the far southeast this morning. These will be clearing away and then most of England and Wales as well as Ireland will be dry with plenty of sunshine. It will be staying fair for the afternoon too with more spells of sunshine. Over Scotland it should be a dry morning with plenty of sunny spells. For the afternoon cloud thickens and there may be some outbreaks of rain moving into western Scotland in the afternoon. Ireland will find cloud increasing, bringing patchy rain to the far north later. Temperatures at 15C in western Scotland, 22C in southern England.
Thursday
The morning may be rather cloudy over much of Scotland, western Ireland and northwest England with a risk of some drizzle here. Brighter and drier to the south over much of England, Wales and southern Ireland with some sunny spells. The afternoon sees a risk of more persistent rain over western and northern Scotland. Most of England and Wales, as well as much of Ireland will be staying dry with sunny spells, although always some broken cloud. Highs at 16C in northern Scotland, 22C in southern England.
