Wednesday
A bright morning to come across much of England and Wales. There will be some good spells of sunshine, especially through the southeast of England. A chance of an early shower affecting parts of the Welsh Mountains, but generally it is going to be a dry morning. Thicker cloud through Scotland with some outbreaks of rain over the far west of Scotland, with low cloud bringing fog to the coasts here. Eastern and southern Scotland will be dry. This afternoon sees the rain turning more persistent through Scotland, with a few heavier bursts over northern and western Scotland. The east and south staying drier with sunny spells. For England and Wales the afternoon is going to be staying dry with some good spells of sunshine, especially over southwest England. Temperatures at 12C in the far north of Scotland, but nearer 22C over central southern England.

Wednesday night
A breezier and cloudy night to come over much of the country. There will be periods of rain through Scotland, some of it heavy over the western parts of Scotland and perhaps Northern Ireland. Northwestern parts of England and northern Wales will have low cloud increasing, and this will bring some outbreaks of drizzle. Over most of England and the rest of Wales the night should be dry. There could be some clear spells through southern parts of England. Lows around 9C in the Midlands, 14C in western Scotland.

Thursday
Cloudy to start the morning over much of Scotland, northern England and parts of Wales. There will be rain through central and northeast Scotland, with drizzle affecting the windward facing coasts of western Scotland, northwest England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Over central and southern parts of England and Scotland as well as southern Wales. The afternoon sees most of England and Wales dry with variable cloud and a few bright spells. Staying rather cloudy through northern England, although sunny spells may affect north-eastern England. Some drizzle in Northern Ireland and western Scotland with a risk of some coastal fog here. Lows near 11 to 15C.

Friday
Cloud and periods of rain across central and northern parts of Scotland, where it will be breezy too. For southern Scotland it will be drier with plenty of cloud, but some drizzle on western coasts. Over northwest England and Northern Ireland there is a threat of some drizzle too, and it stays breezy here. For the rest of England and Wales as well as southern Scotland it will be dry with variable cloud. A few bright or sunny spells over southern parts of England. Highs near 16C in western Scotland, 22C in southeast England.
