Sunny spells, warm in south Rain in far north seiten=4 abk=focus
Friday
For southern parts of Scotland along with England and Wales it's fine and dry through the morning and the afternoon with good sunny spells once any early fog patches disperse after sunrise. Feeling very warm too in the south with above normal temperatures for early September. For northern Scotland it's cloudy and breezy with sporadic outbreaks of rain throughout the course of the day. Temperatures will be in a range of 16 to 20C for Scotland and Northern Ireland but 20 to 25C across much of England and Wales.
Friday Night
Outbreaks of patchy, light rain and drizzle will continue to affect the far north of Scotland this evening and tonight. A fine dry evening and night for the remainder of Scotland, Northern Ireland, England and Wales with well broken cloud and some patchy fog by morning which may be dense in the Midlands. Minimums near 11 to 14C.
Saturday
With high pressure in charge we are expecting little change in the weather pattern as a front brings light rain to the far north of Scotland and the Northern Isles. For the bulk of the United Kingdom it remains dry and warm spells of sunshine as any fog patches clear in the morning. Dry and clear for all parts tonight with fog developing across The Midlands and the south. Still quite warm with high temperatures of 19 to 25C.
Sunday
Overcast across The Northern Isles and the north of Scotland with some rain today. Pleasantly warm for England and Wales. The rest of Britain will be staying dry. Early morning fog patches should clear central and southern England my mid morning with sunny spells and variable cloud for most areas. The rain spreads into all of Scotland tonight, dry elsewhere. Look for highs of 16 to 22C.
