Dry across England, Wales and southern Scotland with a good deal of cloud and fog patches, a few locally dense in the south. Some sunshine will develop in places. Dry for Northern Ireland too. Outbreaks of rain will affect northern Scotland and this will persist into the afternoon. The remainder of the United Kingdom is dry this afternoon with variable cloud and sunnier intervals. Expect top temperatures of 13 to 19C for Scotland and Northern Ireland and 19 to 22C across England and Wales.
Sunday Night
This evening outbreaks of moderate rain in the north of Scotland will spill south into southern Scotland and Northern Ireland. Overnight some lightish rain reaches northern parts of England. To the south it's a fine evening to come then dry with clear spells and patches of fog overnight. Minimums near 11 to 14C.
Monday
Any patchy light rain across Wales and The Midlands is forecast to fade away leaving a dry, brighter afternoon with developing sunshine. The rest of the United Kingdom will stay dry with the best of the sunshine reserved for the afternoon. It will feel much fresher with a brisk north west wind blowing. A dry evening for all and apart from some rain in the far north west of Scotland, it stays dry and clear overnight. A cooler night to come especially across Scotland. Highs of 15 to 21C.
Tuesday
Overcast and damp throughout the day for Northern Ireland and the western half of Scotland with outbreaks of mainly light rain. Dry and brighter across eastern Scotland. Dry across England and Wales today with hardly any cloud at all. With less wind it will feel a bit warmer as well. Rain is to linger across the northern part of Scotland this evening and tonight, dry with clear spells elsewhere. highs of 16 to 23C.
