Any patchy light rain across Wales and The Midlands is forecast to fade away before the morning is over leaving a dry, brighter afternoon with developing sunshine. The rest of the United Kingdom starts fine and dry with sunny spells and it remains fine into the afternoon but feeling cooler today with a brisk north west wind blowing. Expect top temperatures of 12 to 16C for Scotland and Northern Ireland and 16 to 21C across England and Wales.

This evening looks fine and dry with well broken cloud across Britain. Apart from some rain reaching the far north west of Scotland later tonight, it's a dry, clear and colder night to come. Minimums of 4 to 10C north to south.
Tuesday
Cloudy and damp throughout the day for Northern Ireland and the western half of Scotland with outbreaks of mainly light rain. Dry and brighter across eastern Scotland and across Northern Ireland it turns more showery in the afternoon. Dry across England and Wales today with lots of sunshine. With less wind it will feel a bit warmer as well. Rain is to linger across the northern part of Scotland this evening and tonight, dry with clear spells elsewhere. Highs of 16 to 23C.
Wednesday
More rain to come across the far north of Scotland in the morning and afternoon. Apart from the odd shower across northern England the reminder of Britain is dry this morning with sunny intervals. In the afternoon a few showers may develop across Wales along with north west England with the rest of England to stay dry. A dry evening and night for most places. Pleasantly warm with highs of 16 to 24C.
