Wednesday
A fair amount of cloud around this morning over much of northern and central England as well as Wales. There is a risk of some drizzle over high ground at first, although this should fade fairly quickly. This afternoon sees most of these areas dry with the best of the sunshine through south-eastern England. Low cloud affecting the western coasts of Wales and parts of southwest England. For Ireland and Scotland there will be cloud too, again with a few spots of drizzle over the hills. This afternoon sees some patchy rain slipping into northern Scotland. Apart from an odd shower over central Ireland there will be mainly dry conditions with a few bright spells coming through. Temperatures at 15C in northern Scotland, up to 24C in the sunnier parts of southern England.
Wednesday night
Low cloud increases across Wales and southwest England as well as into the Midlands tonight. There will be some clear skies as well with most of these over the far south of England and northern England. Clear skies over Ireland and much of Scotland. Mist or fog patches will be forming in well sheltered areas by the morning. Chilly under the clear skies at 5C, milder on coasts at 8C.
Thursday
Low cloud should be breaking through Thursday morning allowing some good spells of sunshine to come through. In the Midlands the cloud may linger for a while, and perhaps for most of the day in some places. Plenty of sunshine coming through southwest England, southern Wales, southeast England and northern England. A fine start over southern and eastern Scotland as well as Northern Ireland. Cloud and some heavier rain will be spreading to northern and western Scotland as well as north-western parts of Ireland. Becoming windy in the north too. Temperatures at 23C over southern England, 15C in northern Scotland.
Friday
Starting cloudy and damp over central and southern parts of England and Wales. Most of the rain is going to be patchy and light and will tend to fade as the morning progresses. Some showers or rain over the north and east of Scotland early on too, with a risk of some showers in northeast England too. becoming drier and brighter in the west with plenty of sunshine, and gradually this drier, brighter weather will spread east to be through all parts of the country by evening. Breezy to the north. Feeling cooler with highs of 22C over southern England and 14C in northern Scotland.
