Tuesday
Windy along North Sea coasts this morning with a few showers near East Anglia's eastern coast. It becomes wet and windy across Northern Ireland and northern Scotland as rain spreads in from the west. Elsewhere it's a fine, bright, chilly morning with sunny spells. Rain will fall across Scotland and Northern Ireland in the afternoon and some patchy rain will edge into western Wales and Cumbria. For central and southern England it remains mostly sunny and dry. Winds may touch gale for across western Scotland today. Expect top temperatures of 10 to 14C for Scotland and Northern Ireland and 14 to 17C across England and Wales.
Tuesday Night
Rather windy this evening with an area of rain across Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales and northern England. The rain drifts into south west England overnight. The rain looks light in the south but heavier for Scotland. It will stay dry for The Midlands and south east England. Minimums of 8 to 11CC.
Wednesday
It's looking fair and dry this morning and this afternoon across eastern Scotland, Northern Ireland, northern England and across Kent and Sussex with showers across western Scotland. Elsewhere expect outbreaks of rain. In the afternoon the rain will be light and patchy with a few heavy showers possible across Wales. This evening a narrowing belt of rain is forecast to lie from East Anglia into the Midlands and Wales. Overnight the rain may pep up across central and southern England. Highs of 13 to 17C north to south.

Confidence in the details of the forecast is rather low at the moment but a waving front is expected to be across England and Wales. Most places will see some rain with central and northern parts of England perhaps having the heaviest of the rain as it may dry up in the south of England. Moderate to heavy rain is forecast for England and Wales tonight with heavy showers across western Wales. Highs of 12 to 20C.
