Wednesday
A dry, bright morning with the best of the sunshine for Northern Ireland, southern Scotland and northern England. Dry as well across eastern Scotland with some sunshine while western Scotland will have a few showers. The rest of England and Wales starts dull, breezy and damp with outbreaks of rain. A few heavier bursts are likely for Wales and The Midlands. By the afternoon a band of rain is forecast to lie across East Anglia, The Midlands and Wales. Mainly dry across the far south of England. Northern England and southern parts of Scotland will be dry with the best of the day's sunshine. Further showers will affect western Scotland with a few for Northern Ireland as well. Continued dry across sheltered eastern parts of Scotland. Expect top temperatures of 12 to 16C for Scotland and Northern Ireland and 16 to 19C across England and Wales.

Wednesday Night
Continued dry in the far south of England and perhaps the north east of England. Elsewhere it's overcast with spells of rain, this heaviest across South Wales. Overnight it looks cloudy and damp with most places seeing some rain and a few heavy showers may affect Wales. A milder night with minimums of 10 to 15C.

Thursday
Showers this morning across Northern Ireland and Scotland will be replaced by some afternoon rain. With a waving front across England, detail on the forecast for England and Wales is hard to define but overall expect a good deal of cloud and sporadic outbreaks of rain. Perhaps a dry bright morning for northern England and a dry but cloudy afternoon in the far south. Wales could see a spell of heavier rain later. Tonight a band of rain is forecast to lie across central parts of England and Wales. Expect showers to the north with the south of England dry. Highs of 14 to 20C north to south.

Friday
Outbreaks of persistent rain across central and southern parts of England should clear all but Kent and Sussex by the end of the morning as it turns sunnier from the west. Expect heavy showers across western Scotland and Northern Ireland with a few light ones across north west England. As the last of the rain clears the far south east of England it looks dry with good sunny spells for most areas though showers will continue across western Scotland and near northern coasts of Northern Ireland. Ain spreads into Scotland tonight with the rest of Britain dry and clear. Highs of 13 to 21C.
