Friday
An area of low pressure will be bringing heavy rain and strong winds to parts of Ireland, the Isle of Man, northwest England and southwest Scotland this morning. The rain transferring into southern Scotland, Wales and the coasts of Cornwall by the end of the morning. For the rest of England and Wales the morning starts breezy, but dry with a few sunny spells in the southeast. Over northern Scotland and Ireland it will become brighter as the rain clears eastwards. This afternoon sees the rain crossing southwest England, the Midlands and northeast England as an increasingly weak feature. By the time it is into central southern England and the east Midlands by late afternoon there will just be a few moderate bursts of rain left on it. Much of East Anglia and the far southeast staying dry and warm until after dark. For Ireland and Scotland showers will be moving onto western coasts, although many of these fairly scattered. The winds easing fro many, but increasing again later in western Scotland and Northern Ireland. High temperatures at 21C in the far southeast, nearer 14C in western Scotland.
Friday night
Patchy light rain and drizzle slips into East Anglia and the southeast this evening, although this fades away soon after midnight. Most of England and Wales will then become cool and clear with a touch of frost in some sheltered parts of the West Midlands and Welsh Marches. Cloud may linger in the southeast. Western coasts of Wales are always prone to a few showers, as will be western Ireland. More persistent rainfall in western Scotland where the showers may merge to more persistent rain. Windy through Northern Ireland and Scotland too. Lows at 4C in sheltered parts of the Midlands, 9C in western Scotland.
Saturday
A brighter day to come for many on Saturday. South-eastern parts of England may suffer with some low cloud in the morning, and although breaking and staying dry in the afternoon, sunshine may be at a premium here. For much of the Midlands, Wales, northern England, Scotland and Ireland there should be good spells of sunshine and it should stay dry. Some cloud may drift into the far west of Ireland and western Scotland, giving some drizzle here. Highs at 21C in the sunshine, nearer 14C in the cloudier parts of northwest Scotland.
Sunday
Low pressure returns on Sunday. This will be bringing some cloud and outbreaks of rain through Wales, southwest and northwest England, these tending to become more persistent through the day. A breezy day over Ireland and Scotland with some heavy showers or longer spells of rain here. Eastern and southern Scotland may escape with drier conditions and some sunny spells in-between. Highs at 22C in southeast England, 14C over Ireland.
