Sunny and dry for most Rain in Scotland seiten=4 abk=focus
Saturday
Some cloud through central and southern parts of England this morning, all thanks to a weakening front which is dying out over the region. This cloud should be slowly breaking, and then sunny spells will be coming through the cloud into this afternoon. For most of Wales, southwest and northern England the morning starts sine and that is how the day tends to stay; remaining dry with some good spells of sunshine throughout. For Ireland there will be sunshine this morning, but then thicker cloud and strengthening winds spread to the west and south later. Over Scotland, central and northern areas will be cloudier and breezy as well as being damp. There will be a few outbreaks of rain, although most of these will be light. Temperatures at 15C in the cloudier northwest, but as high as 23C where the sun breaks through over southern England.
Saturday night
Still some cloud around through south-eastern England and East Anglia at first tonight, but this will be well broken and should eventually disperse. For much of England the night is then dry, although the winds tending to pick up later. Over northern England, after a dry start, cloud will be increasing with outbreaks of drizzle moving into the northwest later and becoming breezy too. A similar story for Wales where rain will be arriving by midnight, then becoming steadier, especially over the north. Becoming breezy and damp over much of Ireland too as well as Scotland. A mild night, lows of 8 to 12C.
Sunday
The Midlands and south-eastern quarter of England should have a dry morning. Broken cloud and some sunny spells here, but staying dry. Very little change for the afternoon with most places dry, although cloud tending to thicken up. Warm in the southwest breeze. For Wales, southwest England and northern England as well as southern Scotland conditions will be cloudier with periods of rain, some heavy at times over the hills of Wales and Pennines. A windy day to come over Ireland and Scotland, with those winds to gale force and frequent, heavy showers in western areas. Highs at 24C in the sunshine over southeast England, 14C in western Scotland.
Monday
Some heavy rain passing eastwards into Monday morning through the Midlands, eastern and southern England, the threat of some cracks of thunder too. The rain probably clearing eastern coasts by mid to late morning. Brighter weather then follows from the west with good sunny spells coming through. There will be some showers, most on the coasts of Wales and northwest England. More frequent showers for western Scotland and Ireland, where it will be staying windy, but eastern Ireland and eastern Scotland should be staying drier. Highs at a much cooler 11 to 18C.
