Monday
Very windy across the United Kingdom this morning with gales for eastern parts of England. Here gusts to 50-55 mph are likely. An area of heavy rain will be sweeping eastward clearing eastern England around mid morning. To the west expect plenty of blustery showers along with a few sunnier spells. Remaining windy for the afternoon with plenty of fast moving, sometimes heavy showers across England and Wales while more persistent rain is expected across Scotland and Northern Ireland. Later northern England may also see showers merging into a longer spell of rain while East Anglia and the south east of England may have a dry afternoon with some sunshine. Expect top temperatures of 10 to 13C for Scotland and Northern Ireland and 14 to 18C across England and Wales.

Monday Night
Continued windy this evening with most of the showers now confined to western parts of Scotland, Wales and England. Clearer and dry inland and to the east. Overnight showers and outbreaks of rain are expected to spread back east into much of the United Kingdom. A mild night with all the wind and cloud. Expect minimums of 10 to 12C.

Tuesday
A cool northerly wind will bring a good deal of cloud to most parts of the United Kingdom today along with patchy rain and showers. Perhaps a dry morning though across the southern counties of England and here expect the best of any sunshine. Through the evening showers will be found to western and eastern coasts of England, Scotland and Wales. Overnight any showers then are likely around North Sea coasts with the bulk of Britain dry with clear spells. Still windy tonight with any frost confined to sheltered glens of Scotland. Highs of 12 to 16C.

Wednesday
Continued breezy and feeling cold today with a lot of cloud around eastern parts of England and Scotland and here expect scattered showers. Central and western parts of Scotland and England along with Wales and Northern Ireland will fair best with a dry day and some sunshine. One or two showers will persist around the coast of East Anglia into the evening and night. Elsewhere it's dry and mostly clear with a frost for northern Scotland. Highs of 10 to 14C.
