Wednesday
Quite a breezy chilly day across the United Kingdom today. Some rain at first across south east England and Suffolk will clear this morning. A few showers are forecast around North Sea coasts, western coasts of England, Scotland and Wales and on the northern coast of Northern Ireland. Much of inland Britain looks dry and bright this morning with some sunshine. Apart from scattered showers around the eastern coasts, most areas will be dry through the afternoon with the best of the sunshine the further west you go. Expect top temperatures of 8 to 10C for Scotland and Northern Ireland and 10 to 14C across England and Wales but feeling even colder in a brisk north wind.

Wednesday Night
Continued windy this evening and overnight and there is a risk of some rain and showers around the eastern coasts of England and Scotland, Central and western parts of Britain will be staying dry with well broken cloud. With lighter winds across northern Scotland and Northern Ireland, it turns very cold with a frost likely. Expect minimums of 6 to 9C but down to -1 to 3C for the north west.

Thursday
Continued rather windy and feeling quite cold today with a lot of cloud around eastern parts of England and here expect scattered showers or some lightish rain at times. Central and western parts of England along with Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland will fair best with a dry day and some sunshine and occasional cloud. Some light rain and showers will persist across eastern parts of England into the evening and overnight may spread into northern England and eastern Scotland. Elsewhere it's dry with varying cloud and clear spells. Highs of 10 to 16C.

Friday
A cold, brisk north east wind will continue to feed lots of cloud an drain to eastern parts of England and Scotland this morning and in the afternoon this creeps west into northern England and central parts of England and Scotland. Still dry further to the west with north west Scotland and Northern Ireland having the best of the sunshine. Highs of 10 to 13C.
