Morning cloud, sunny spells Fog patches forming tonight seiten=4 abk=focus

Friday
A fair amount of cloud to start the day over much of Wales and western parts of England. Inland there will be some morning mist and fog patches, but these should be clearing fairly quickly. The sun will be shining in some parts of the Midlands, eastern and southern England from early on, and the tendency through the day will be for the sun to come through in Wales and western England. It should be dry everywhere. For Ireland and Scotland there will be some morning cloud too, and also a few mist and fog patches in more eastern areas. These clearing and then sunny spells coming through here as well. The exception will be the north and west of Ireland and western Scotland where stronger winds may lead to some outbreaks of drizzle and cloud shrouding the hills. Another very mild day with temperatures at 17C in the sunnier parts of England and Wales, perhaps even 18C in London; nearer 15C on western coasts of Scotland and Ireland.

Friday night
Skies should be mainly clear through most of England and eastern Wales tonight, allowing mist or fog patches to form fairly readily. Some thicker cloud drifting through northwest England and north Wales later, perhaps producing a spot of rain later. That rain will pass south through Scotland in the evening, and then into Northern Ireland after midnight, most of it light. It will be breezy through Scotland, but light winds elsewhere. Lows of 5C under clear skies in southern England, nearer 10C over western coasts of Wales.

Saturday
Misty over southern and central England and Wales on Saturday morning, with some rather dense fog patches in places. These should slowly clear to leave the morning bright with sunny spells. Thicker cloud in northern England may producing some spots of rain here, this affecting the north of Wales and Northern Ireland too. Brighter for northern and eastern Scotland, and much cooler here despite the sunshine. The thicker cloud may drift into central Wales, the Midlands and East Anglia later on. Temperatures still very mild in southern England at 16C, but colder in northern Scotland at 9C.

Sunday
Cooler air arrives through the whole country on Sunday. There may be a touch of frost around first thing, especially over northern England, with a more widespread frost over parts of Scotland. For most of the day there will be good spells of sunshine coming through, especially in Wales, the Midlands and East Anglia as well as southern England and southern Scotland. The far northwest of Scotland may see thicker cloud move in during the afternoon producing some light rain. Temperatures at 10 to 12C overall.
