Monday
A dry, morning for East Anglia, The Midlands and the south of England with some dense fog patches, some sunny intervals too. Elsewhere it's windier and wet with spells of rain and drizzle. The rain will be heaviest across Scotland. As we go through the afternoon the rain becomes lighter as it spreads into central and southern England. To the north it brightens up and turns colder and windy with showers expected for western Scotland and one or two on the northern coast of Northern Ireland and a few scattered around Irish Sea coasts. Expect highs of 10 to 15C north to south.

Monday Night
The rain will have cleared south east England by this evening and apart form some light rain for northern Scotland it's a dry evening with clear spells and cloud. Overnight some patchy rain may affect Northern Ireland and parts of Wales otherwise it's a dry night with any frost confined to sheltered glens of western Scotland. Expect lows of 2 to 4C for parts of Scotland with 5 to 8C for most places.

Tuesday
A colder day to come across much of the United Kingdom as the winds veer to the north north west. The north and north west of Scotland will see some patchy rain at times during the day. For the rest of Scotland, England, Wales and Northern Ireland it's looking dry with varying amounts of cloud and sunnier spells. An area of more persistent rain is expected to spread into all of Scotland and into Northern Ireland this evening and tonight. With varying cloud across the rest of the country it stays dry with highs of 8 to 12C north to south.

Wednesday
Feeling cold toady with a blustery north west wind developing from the north. A lot of cloud across the United Kingdom today with some patchy, light rain at times. Mainly dry and brighter towards the southern coast of England and Wales. Little change to come for the evening and night with a risk of patchy rain just about anywhere and remaining quite windy. A few heavy showers may develop across western Scotland. Maximum temperatures of 9 to 13C are forecast but feeling much colder in the wind.
