Cold & blustery Showers, patchy rain into Saturday seiten=4 abk=focus
Friday
A cold, blustery day to come across Britain. For the north of Scotland will be cloudy with some rain through the day. A number of showers or lightish rain is expected around Irish Sea coasts into Wales this morning. Elsewhere it's dry and bright with some cloud and some sunshine. In the afternoon a few showers across North Wales may penetrate though the Cheshire Gap into the Midlands. To the east and west it should stay dry with variable cloud and sunnier intervals. Temperatures will be below normal with highs of 8 to 10C for most areas.
Friday Night
Still very windy this evening and tonight as a front brings an area of heavier rain to Scotland in the evening. This band of rain then spreads south into all by the far south west of England during the night. Gusts may reach gale force in the west. A milder night under the cloud and with the strong winds. Expect lows of 8 to 10C.
Saturday
Continued windy and unsettled for today. The far south of England looks dry but cloudy. The remainder of the United Kingdom looks cloudy with sporadic outbreaks of rain throughout the course of the day. This will be light except for heavier bursts in the north of Scotland. Little change is forecast into the evening and night with all areas generally cloud with some rain and drizzle. Still rather windy as well with gales in the north and west. Milder today with highs of 10 to 14C.
Sunday
Breezy with moderating winds through the day. Some rain will linger across northern Scotland, Wales and the far south of England this morning, dry and brighter in between. In the afternoon most places look dry and bright with varying cloud and a few sunnier spells though some patchy rain may persist across the West Country and the far north of Scotland. With lighter winds and clear spells it turns cold tonight with a widespread frost likely. Maximum temperatures of just 8 to 13C.
