Sunday
A much colder and windy morning across Scotland with brighter conditions spreading from the north. There will be showers, these turning wintry over the hills, and always tending to affect northern and eastern coasts most of all. Feeling very cold in the wind. Further south there will be more cloud through the morning with outbreaks of rain. Most of the rain should be light, but a few moderate bursts are likely over the hills of northern England and Wales. Brighter, colder weather arrives in northern England and Northern Ireland by late morning, this colder and brighter weather pushing into Wales, the Midlands and East Anglia in the afternoon. Gradually becoming colder in that northerly wind with temperatures at 14C in southern England, 5C in northern Scotland.
Sunday night
Some spots of rain continuing along southern coasts of England at first this evening. These will be clearing away, to be followed by much clearer skies for the rest of the night. Over eastern coasts of Scotland and England there is always a risk of some showers throughout the night, these becoming confined to East Anglia by the morning. Further west and north it should be a dry, clear and cold night. A widespread frost forming by the morning. Lows around -4C in central Scotland, 1C over the far south of England.
Monday
A cold but beautifully crisp start to the day over most of England, Wales and southern Ireland. Little change for the afternoon, with more sunshine throughout much of the southern half of England and Wales. Much of Scotland will be starting the day fine and sunny too, although there will be some cloud moving into the northwest bringing some drizzle here. Through the morning the winds increase across Scotland with rain pushing eastwards into the afternoon. Highs near 7C over parts of England, 13C in western Scotland.
Tuesday
A cloudier day through England, Wales and Ireland. There will be some spots of rain around through much of England with low cloud covering the hills. Further spots of drizzle and light rain over the hills of Scotland, whilst much of Ireland should be dry, although quite cloudy here as well. Feeling cold everywhere with the temperatures at 8 to 10C.
