Friday
A cold, frosty and misty morning to come across much of England and Wales with a number of locally dense patches of freezing fog across central and northern England along with eastern Wales. These will take some time to clear and may linger in low lying areas into the early part of the afternoon. Outside of the fog it will be dry with long spells of crisp wintry sunshine. More cloud will affect western parts of England, Scotland and Wales with a few spots of rain possible nears Irish Sea coasts. Temperatures will below normal with highs of 6 to 9C but 10 or 1C around western coasts.
Friday Night
It becomes windy this evening and tonight, particularly in the north where it's cloudy with some rain for Scotland, Northern Ireland and northern England. To the south it stays dry with some fog and a touch of frost likely across central and southern England. Expect lows of 1 to 4C across southern England but elsewhere expect 6 to 8C.
Saturday
A belt of rain across Northern Ireland and Scotland in the morning will move into northern parts of England in the afternoon and it's windy in the north. After morning fog and patchy frost clears, the rest of England and Wales is looking dry and bright with hazy sunshine. The rain in the north becomes heavier as it spreads south into all parts during the course of the evening and night. Maximum temperatures of 7 to 10C.
Sunday
Outbreaks of moderate to heavy rain across central and southern parts of England will only slowly be clearing from the west through the day. As it does so showers are expected across western parts of Scotland, England and Wales with sunnier spells developing inland. A number of showers will persist around western coasts into the evening and night with inland areas dry with varying cloud and clear spells. Some fog may also develop across north east England and the Midlands. Expect highs of 7 to 11C.
