Sunday
A cloud, wet, cold and windy morning over much of England, Scotland and Wales to start Sunday. There will be some heavy bursts of rain in parts of the Midlands and northern England, with the chance of some snow over the tops of the Pennines. East Anglia and southeast England starting the day dry and fine, but the rain arriving here into the afternoon. There may be some drier spells to for a time over central Wales and southwest England, but it won't be long before heavy showers and rain return here. It stays wet for many into the afternoon, the heaviest rain transferring to eastern parts of Scotland and England. Across the western Midlands things may be brighter for a time, but heavy showers here by the evening. Ireland and western Scotland stay rather cloudy with some showers, and it will be cold. Temperatures at 10C in southwest England, but perhaps not rising much above 2 to 4C across the Midlands and northeast England.

Sunday night
A wet night to come for England and southern Scotland. After becoming lighter and more patchy for a time, the rain will turn more persistent through southeast, eastern and central England and increasing turn to sleet and snow over high ground. There is also the risk of some snow even at lower levels across parts of eastern England, northern England and north Wales. As clearer air reaches Wales and western England, temperatures may fall low enough for ice to form on roads. Cloudier with further showers, some wintry in Ireland and western Scotland. Lows at 0 to 3C.

Monday
Wet and windy through north Wales and northern England on Monday morning, with sleet and snow over the high level routes, More southern parts of England should become drier, with a few bright spells, but also lots of cloud. Southern Scotland and Ireland and likely to be rather cloudy and wet too with some periods of rain here, whilst northern Scotland it expected to be drier, but still breezy. It will be a cold afternoon with temperatures at 3C in parts of north Wales and the Midlands, 10C over southern England.

Tuesday
Still a threat of some snow over the high ground of the Pennines and north Wales on Tuesday. Rather cloudy across northern England with a brisk east to northeast wind bringing outbreaks of rain. Broken cloud in southern England, a chance of an odd brighter spell, but then some rain returning to the southeast later. mainly cloudy for Scotland with some more outbreaks of rain and remaining windy. Not quite so cold with temperatures at 6 to 8C.
