Saturday
Very cold, frosty and sunny this morning for East Anglia, central and southern England. Elsewhere it's increasingly windy and cloudy and wet with outbreaks of rain, heavy in the north west of Scotland. The rain may be preceded by snow over the northern hills for a time. This area of now light rain then spreads south to all but the far south east of England during the course of the afternoon. Winds in the north may touch gale force. Temperatures will below normal in the north with highs of 6 to 8C but 8 to 11C in the south.
Saturday Night
It remains windy through the evening with sporadic outbreaks of patchy light rain becoming confined to western parts of the British Isles tonight. Eastern areas look dry in the main albeit it cloud. As the winds switch around to the north west gusting to gale force in eastern Scotland, it comes colder in the north with snow showers developing across northern Scotland. Expect lows of 0 to 2C in the north and 5 to 7C in the south.
Sunday
It becomes less windy today. Rain and drizzle will affect the north west this morning with snow showers for The Highlands. Elsewhere it's dry and bright with sunny spells. In the afternoon rain spread across all of Scotland into Northern Ireland and northern England. The rain may be freezing for a time across northern Scotland. To the south it stays dry and bright with the best of the sunshine in the south west of England. Rain eventually spread into all areas overnight. Expect highs of 6 to 10C north to south.
Monday
Generally a cloudy day for eastern parts of Scotland and England but it should turn dry before the afternoon is over. High pressure will give western areas a fine, dry day with the best of the sunshine. Through the evening and night rain and drizzle spreads into Northern Ireland, Wales and western parts of England and Scotland. A mild day with highs of 10 to 13C.
