Sunday
Quite a chilly start to the morning, especially through central and eastern areas. Some sunny spells here as well. Cloud is going to be increasing from the west during the day, and this will be bringing some periods of rain through Ireland and into the west of Scotland by midday. Remaining dry for most of the country through this afternoon, although turning cloudy for many areas. There will be some rain in western Scotland, and the risk of some drizzle for western Ireland, northwest England and perhaps even north Wales. A few bright spells are likely in southeast England, although these hazy. Temperatures at a chilly 6 or 7C through eastern Scotland and northeast England, milder in the west at 12C over Northern Ireland, western Wales and southwest England.
Sunday night
Cloudy with periods of drizzle and rain over much of Scotland, northern England and the west and north of Wales. There will be fog shrouding the hills, and the rain will become more persistent over northern and western Scotland. The far south of England and Wales, as well as Ireland will have plenty of cloud as well. Over eastern parts of Scotland and England it stays chilly. There could be a problem with freezing rain leading to some icy roads in central and eastern Scotland. Lows at -1C in central Scotland, 10C in southwest England.
Monday
Plenty of cloud around again through Monday. There will be plenty of drizzle and light rain over Scotland and northern England. Further fog and drizzle on western coasts and Ireland. As the day progresses the cloud should break here and there over central and southern England, allowing some bright spells to come through. Generally though it stays dry, although many areas will be drier in the afternoon. Temperatures at 6C in eastern Scotland, but a very mild 15C in southwest Wales.
Tuesday
An areas of heavier rain sinking southeast through Scotland and Ireland through today. Following into northwest Scotland will be showers and some of these will be heavy. For southern and southeastern England it is going to be generally dry with some bright or sunny spells. Highs around 9 to 12C.
