Tuesday
A cloudy morning through most of the country. There will be some spots of drizzle across the high ground of Wales and parts of northern England with some fog here too. Breaks in the cloud over southern and central England, as well as the northeast may well allow some bright spells to come through. Thicker cloud and more persistent rain affecting the far north of Ireland, and the north and west of Scotland wwhere the winds will be increasing. During this afternoon heavier and more persistent rain moves into western Ireland and through much of Scotland. Rather cloudy in the north and west of Wales, as well as northwest England with some drizzle here and there. Central and southern parts of England stay dry and rather cloudy but also with some bright or sunny spells coming through. A very mild day at 14C in southwest England, nearer 11C in northern Scotland.

Tuesday night
Tonight sees a band of cloud and that heavier and more persistent rain moving slowly southeastwards through Ireland, Scotland and into northern England. Fog may well shroud the hills, with further drizzle and mist of fog patches on the western coasts of Wales and southwest England. It will become breezy too through many northern and western areas. The far north of Scotland should become drier later. Over the Midlands and southern England cloud may well break with some clear spells, and it should be dry here as well. Lowest temperatures at 5C in northern Scotland, 10C in west wales and southwest England.

Wednesday
Heavy bursts of rain over northern England and southern Ireland this morning. Rather cloudy for the rest of England and Wales, with some spots of drizzle. rain again affecting the north and east of Scotland, with cloudy skies and a few showers in western Scotland. By Wednesday afternoon the heavier periods of rain are liekly to be through southwest England, Wales, the Midlands and northern England with the chance of some localised flooding. The far southerast probably staying dry, albeit rather cloudy until evening. For Ireland and Scotland it stays cloudy with periods of showery rain. Winds are going to be increasing to become fresh southwesterly.

Thursday
rain across northern England and eatsern Scotland on Thursday morning, this clearing into the North Sea in the afternoon. Morning rain in southeast England too, but this clearing away. Drier for most of England, wales and Scotland as a ridge of high pressure breifly builds in. This won't be lasting long though because further fronts are going to be spreading from the west, bringign further rain into Ireland by the end of the day. A cold day at 7 or 8C in most of England and Scotland, nearer 11C in western Ireland.
