Further falls of heavy snow are forecast for northern parts of Scotland through the day. Elsewhere it's a dull, misty and gloomy morning with some patchy rain and drizzle in places. In the afternoon an area of heavy rain will spread in across Northern Ireland, Wales and western parts of Scotland and England with drizzly rain further to the east. Feeling milder today with much lighter winds. Expect highs of 1 to 3C but a much milder 6 to 9C in the south.
Friday Night
Windy this evening with heavy rain spreading into all parts clearing to heavy showers in the far west later. By tonight the rain will have cleared the country with a number of heavy showers to come across western parts of Britain. Central and eastern areas will be dry and mostly clear. Lows of 2 to 4C north, 5 to 7C south.
Saturday
Dry and bright across eastern parts of Scotland and England. For most areas it's a cloudy morning with patchy outbreaks of rain and showers. Snow showers will affect northern Scotland. Heavier rain is likely to push in across Wales and south west England in the afternoon with heavy showers across western Scotland, Northern Ireland and north west England. Mainly dry in the east of England and Scotland. Very wet across England in the evening but this clears tonight as it becomes mainly dry in most areas. Expect highs of 3 to 5C for Scotland, 7 to 9C for England and Wales.
Sunday
Scattered showers will affect western parts of Scotland and the north coast of Northern Ireland. The bulk of the United Kingdom will be dry with good sunny spells. Rain spreads into Northern Ireland and western Britain in the evening and turns heavy and persistent overnight as it moves into all areas. Expect highs of 4 to 8C.
