A number of heavy showers will affect western parts of Scotland, north west England and the northern coasts of Northern Ireland. Mainly dry in the east of Scotland with some sunshine. After a mainly dry, bright morning across England and Wales outbreaks of rain are expected to slip in across south west and the far south of England through the afternoon. Showers are expected across western Wales and it will be a windy afternoon. Expect highs of 2 to 5C in the north and 5 to 9C for the south.
Saturday Night
It stays windy across Scotland this evening and tonight with showers persisting across western areas and showers too are likely across north west England. Any rain in the far south east should clear away quite quickly this evening with much of England and Wales dry then with clear spells. Colder tonight with fog patches and a widespread frost across England and Wales with lows of 0 to 3C for most areas.
Sunday
Heavy showers will continue across western Scotland and across northern parts of Northern Ireland in the morning and afternoon. Fine and mostly sunny today for eastern Scotland. Apart from a few showers around the western coast of Wales, it's a fine, dry day for England and Wales with good spells of sunshine. A dry evening for much of Britain. Outbreaks of heavy rain across south west England will sweep into Wales, Northern Ireland and all but north east England overnight. Gales will develop around Irish Sea coasts. Expect highs of 2 to 4C for Scotland, 5 to 8C for England and Wales.
Monday
While the south west and the far south of England may have a dry morning, it looks quite damp across much of the United Kingdom throughout the day. The heaviest rain should be across northern England in the morning and may be mixed with some sleet across the Cambrian Hills for a time. It turns dry across much of Britain for the evening but another area of rain moves into Northern Ireland reaching the western coasts of Britain around morning. Expect highs of 3 to 10C north to south.
