Tuesday
A windy day to come across the United Kingdom with gales of 60 mph around western coasts. The south eastern corner of England should have a dry morning with showers for north west Scotland. North east Scotland looks fine with some sunshine. Elsewhere outbreaks of rain are expected and this will be heavy. Again little rain is expected around Kent with snow showers for northern Scotland. The bulk of the nation remains very west with heavy rain though it turns drier and brighter across Northern Ireland. Expect highs of 2 to 4C for Scotland, 7 to 11C for England and Wales.

Tuesday Night
It stays windy this evening and tonight with heavy showers replacing the rain across Wales and the West Country. More heavy spells of rain are expected elsewhere and this clears by tonight with a number of heavy showers across western parts of Britain, these wintry across northern Scotland. Lows of 0 to -4C for Scotland, 4 to 8C elsewhere.

Wednesday
Windy and colder today with outbreaks of snow across Scotland and perhaps the Pennines later. Sleety rain is forecast for northern England, parts of Wales and Northern Ireland with central and southern parts of England seeing the best of the sunshine along with a few sharp showers. Another area of heavy rain sweeps in across England and Wales this evening and overnight. Drier for Scotland showers in the west and clear skies in the east. Expect highs of 1 to 5C but 8C in the far south of England.

Thursday
With another low pressure area approaching it's another unsettled and windy day and milder too. Heavy spells of rain are expected but it looks very light towards the south east of England. Northern Scotland will stay cold with outbreaks of heavy snow possible. The rain will clear all but the far south of England overnight. Expect highs of 4 to 11C north to south.
