Plenty of cloud through this morning, and very windy too. There will be periods of mainly light rain and drizzle across much of England, with some mist and fog patches over high ground. Heavier rain to the west through southwest England, Wales and western Scotland. The winds reaching gale force at times. Plenty of cloud shrouding the hills, with some fog on western coasts. The heavier rain through western England, Wales, northwest England and Scotland this afternoon, and staying windy too. Snow falling over the high ground of Scotland. The winds easing in Ireland later as brighter, more showery weather arrives. For much of the rest of central and eastern England the afternoon will be damp and mild with drizzle and light rain. Temperatures rising to 9 or 10C for most.

Through this evening heavy periods of rain and strong winds will be passing through southern England, the Midlands and northern England, this reaching eastern England through the early hours. More showery weather arriving in western England, Wales and western Scotland as well as much of Ireland. Showers could turn more persistent in western Ireland. Temperatures at 7C in most of England, 4C in central Ireland.

An unsettled and windy day over most of England, Wales and Ireland. It is going to be a cooler day with frequent showers or longer periods of rain. Scotland is going to be staying unsettled with more showers or rain here, some of the rain heavy in the west. eastern areas should be a little drier. Temperatures at 7C in Scotland, Wales and Ireland, nearer 10C over southeast England.

Low pressure brings more unsettled weather today. There will be periods of rain through most of Ireland, England and Wales. The rain heavy at times as it moves east, with eastern parts of England being windy with a chance of gale force gusts here. Turning brighter over southern Ireland, Wales and southwest England later, with showers. Brighter for Scotland with sunshine and a few showers. Temperatures at 5C in central Scotland, 12C in southern England.
