More rain to come Flooding may occur seiten=4 abk=focus
Sunday
A band of cloud and rain extending through southern Ireland, Wales and the southern half of England on Sunday morning. Most of this will be light and drizzle, and there will be low cloud shrouding the hills and coasts over southern England and Wales. Rather windy over southern counties of England in a fresh to strong southwesterly. Drier in the morning for northern England and Northern Ireland, although still generally cloudy. Scotland is going to have plenty of cloud too, with a risk of some outbreaks of rain through northern and western areas as well as it being windy in the north. The afternoon sees heavier rain returning northwards through Ireland, Wales, the Midlands and East Anglia, with the far south of England staying windy with lighter rain. Little change through northern England where it will be staying dry, but cool. Cloudy again and cool with further outbreaks of rain or showers over much of Scotland. A sharp temperatures contrast over the country with temperatures at 6C in northern Scotland, but 14C in southern England
Sunday Night
The rain moves northwards through the evening and overnight to be affecting much of Ireland, Wales, the Midlands, East Anglia and northern England. That rain turning heavy too, leading to some flooding problems, and the winds increasing as well through southern England and Wales. Over most of Scotland the night should be dry, although always with plenty of cloud. Showers affecting the far north of Scotland, most of them fairly light. Lows near 2C in northern England, 10C in the far south.
Monday
Developments are still uncertain for Monday. It does look as if an area of low pressure will be crossing northern England. This takes heavy bursts of rain eastwards with it through most of England, Wales, and Scotland as well as some strong winds. Colder air will be following the low east and this may turn the rain to snow over the northern Pennines and southern Upland. It becomes drier in the afternoon through Wales, western and northern areas with some sunny spells coming through. Most of Scotland should have a cool day with some sunny spells, and only an occasional shower. Highs around 6C in Scotland, 2C in southern Scotland and 12C along southern coasts of England.
Tuesday
Rain returns from the west again on Tuesday. Most of the rain is expected over Ireland, Wales and northwest England, probably in the afternoon. Scotland stays cloudy with some outbreaks of rain from time to time, whilst the far southeast of England should stay dry, although will be rather cloudy. Highs near 5C in northern Scotland, 10C in southwest England.
