Sunday
Quite windy this morning with gusts to gale force across eastern Scotland and the far north east of England. A lot of cloud across Northern Ireland and Scotland this morning producing some patchy light rain cross western Scotland. England and Wales will be fair, dry and bright with hazy spells of sunshine. Still rather windy in the north and cloudy for much of Scotland and Northern Ireland with light rain for Northern Ireland and western Scotland. For England and Wales it remains fine and dry sunny spells and staying quite mild for most areas. More cloud is expected to move in across northern England during the afternoon. Highs of 10 to 12C across the country.
Sunday Night
Continued rather windy across the northern half of the United Kingdom for this evening and tonight and with the winds from the south west, a mild night for northern areas underneath the cloud cover. Sporadic outbreaks of mainly patchy, light rain and drizzle will affect Northern Ireland, Scotland and the north of England. Continued dry with well broken cloud across Wales and southern England. We're not expecting much change into the night with light rain in the north and the south staying dry with clear spells. A colder night then for the south with a risk of a frost under clear skies with lows here down to 1 to 3C but a milder 6 to 9C for the north.
Monday
After a cold start across Wales, central and southern England, any patchy mist and frost will son go otherwise a fine, mostly sunny morning to come. Dry too for northern England with more cloud. Rain is expected for northern Scotland and Northern Ireland with a few heavier bursts in the north west. In the afternoon the rain drifts into all of Scotland and becomes more steady. Otherwise little change with England and Wales dry with the best of the sunshine towards the south. Rain across Northern Ireland and Scotland spreads into northern England in the evening reaching Wales during the night. Expect highs of 5 to 8C in the north 9 to 13C for the south.
Tuesday
A belt of moderate rain will lie across northern England, The North Midlands and Wales this morning. Dry and bright to the south with showers across the west of Scotland. During the afternoon the rain sinks south into East Anglia, The Midlands, Wales and south west England but continued fair and dry in the far south east of England. A good deal of cloud to the north of this rain band with showers across the northern coasts of Northern Ireland and western Scotland. These may turn wintry as they move inland across Scotland. Overnight the area of moderate, sometimes heavy rain lingers across the far south of England. For the rest of the country it's a cold night with a widespread frost. Expect highs of 4 to 8C in the north and 9 to 13C for the south.
