Saturday
Much of the United Kingdom starts very cold and frosty with icy patches but it's looking dry with sunny spells for much of England. Snow showers are expected across Scotland and down into northern England with some light rain getting into western parts of Wales and Northern Ireland. In the afternoon rain and drizzle with some sleet over the hills, spread into all of Wales and later into the far west of England and Scotland. Central and eastern parts of England remain fair, dry and bright with some sunshine. Highs of 1 to 5C but up to 9C across Wales and south west England.
Saturday Night
Increasingly windy across western Britain through this evening and tonight. Rain, heavy in the west, is expected to spill eastward into all parts of the United Kingdom. This leads to a misty, damp night with sporadic outbreaks of rain and drizzle, this always heaviest across Northern Ireland and western Scotland. Lows generally down to 3 to 7C but up to 8C in the west.
Sunday
A windy day to come with gales and outbreaks of rain for all areas which will be heavy across Northern Ireland and western parts of Scotland and Wales. In the afternoon By the afternoon a band of heavy rain will stretch from western Scotland into western England and Wales. Cloudy to the east but dry in the main. This rain area then spreads into eastern areas tonight as it becomes clearer with coastal showers in the west. Expect highs of 4 to 9C.
Monday
Any residual rain across East Anglia and Kent should quickly clear east. Apart from scattered showers around western coasts, it's then a dry morning with good sunny spells. In the afternoon the showers around west coasts will become more frequent and heavy but much of inland Britain should stay dry and mostly sunny. Persistent and heavy rain sweeps into all parts during the night and it becomes windy as ell . Expect highs of 2 to 5C but up to 8 to 10C in the south.
