Gales in the north Mainly dry, brighter seiten=4 abk=focus
Friday
Quite a windy morning for the northern half of the United Kingdom with gales across Scotland and around Irish Sea coasts. Gusts to 70 mph are possible around western Scottish coasts. A band of rain will also lie across Scotland into Northern Ireland with a few heavy bursts in the west. Just some patchy drizzle near the coasts of north west England and Wales with some fog patches. Generally a dry, bright morning for the rest of England and here expect the best of the afternoon sunshine. The rain across Scotland and Northern Ireland will still be there in the afternoon but it won't be as heavy. We're expecting maximum temperatures of 10 to 13 C for most places.
Friday Night
Windy but not as windy in the north this evening and tonight. Light rain and drizzle with fog around the coasts lingers across Scotland into the night but clears Northern Ireland. Dry across England and Wales and probably too much wind for dense fog but there may be a good deal of low cloud developing. Very mild tonight with lows of 6 to 10C.
Saturday
Still rather windy across Scotland today and any rain to be found just in the extreme north west and across the Western Isles. So for the bulk of Britain it's a fine, dry day with always more cloud in the west and always the best of the sunshine towards the east. Still unseasonably mild to. Overnight the rain will be found in the far north of Scotland. Dry elsewhere and with light winds and clear spells, there is a risk of a widespread frost and more in the way of dense fog by morning, especially across central and southern England. Expect highs of 10 to 13C.
Sunday
With high pressure dominating it will keep fronts to the north so apart from that light rain for the far north of Scotland, another dry day for the bulk of the United Kingdom. While there should be more in the way of sunshine, some dense morning fog patches across the Midlands, southern England and around the Vale of York may be slow to clear. Still unseasonably mild across the United Kingdom with highs of 9 to 13C.
