Tuesday
A dry morning for all parts of the United Kingdom but a frosty one for most areas. Locally dense patches of fog and freezing fog are likely across The Midlands into northern England and southern Scotland otherwise expect long sunny spells. The fog patches may take all morning to clear. Fine and dry across the country for the afternoon with long spells of unbroken sunshine. Still unseasonably mild with highs of 9 to 13C.
Tuesday Night
A pleasant evening across all parts of the United Kingdom with clear skies and turning rather chilly. Overnight it stays dry and clear with a widespread frost developing away from the coasts. Local dense fog patches across central and northern England along with Scotland will develop during the night and may be freezing in places. Look for lows of 0 to -3C inland with 3 to 5C around coasts.
Wednesday
With high pressure dominating expect another dry day for the bulk of the United Kingdom. While there should be some good spells of sunshine throughout the morning in the west, dense morning fog patches across the Midlands, southern England and around the Vale of York may be slow to clear. Through the afternoon we may find more cloud coming into eastern parts of England from the North Sea. Then overnight any fog and frost may become confined to the far west as cloud filters in from the east. Remaining mild across the United Kingdom with highs of 9 to 12C.
Thursday
A lot of cloud likely across England, Wales and southern Scotland though sheltered western areas will have the best of the sunshine along with Northern Ireland through the day. Despite the cloud it should stay dry everywhere. Largely cloudy for most places during the evening and night but where any lengthy cloud breaks of occur, expect patchy frost and fog to develop. We are expecting top temperatures of 8 to 10C.
