Saturday
A lot of low cloud to come across Northern Ireland and Scotland today but some brighter spells developing during the afternoon. A few dense patches of freezing fog are also possible across south west Scotland in the morning. For England and Wales it will be a fine, dry day with long spells of unbroken sunshine for most places after a cold, frosty morning. With light winds and in the sunshine it won't feel to bad with top temperatures of 5 to 8C.

Saturday Night
Any cloud left across Scotland and Northern Ireland will be melting away with much of the United Kingdom clear and turning cold with a frost developing this evening. Very cold then and dry overnight with a widespread and sharp frost across all parts of the United Kingdom. A few dense patches of freezing fog may also form across parts of the Midlands and north east England. Look for lows of 0 to -5C.

Sunday
So a very cold and frosty morning to come across much of Britain with a few dense patches of freezing fog around the Midlands and north east England. These should clear and most places will be fine with good spells of sunshine to come. There is a risk of some patchy rain though in the far north west of Scotland today. It stays dry with frost soon developing through the evening and will again become widespread and hard overnight. A few dense freeing fog patches will also develop across central England into the Vale of York. Expect highs of 6 to 9C for most places.

Monday
With high pressure settled over Britain it will be staying dry throughout the country. Any fog freezing fog patches will clear central, southern and northern England and after a frosty start, it will be fine and sunny across all parts of Britain. A bit more of a breeze across south west England will make it feel colder here. Continued clear with frost and fog patches to redevelop through the evening with a hard frost expected overnight. Expect highs of 6 to 10C.
