Early fog and frost Cloud and patchy rain in north seiten=4 abk=focus
Thursday
Certainly a different start to the morning for many parts of the country. It is going to be windy and rather cloudy across Scotland, Northern Ireland and northern England. These brisk west to southwest winds will be bringing periods of rain with them, mostly to western Scotland and northwest England. More eastern areas should be drier, although some rain cannot be ruled out here. For most of England, Wales and southern Ireland the morning should start dry, although drizzle can't be ruled out on western coasts. The afternoon sees little change with most of the country staying cloudy. There will be dry conditions in central and southern England, but some patchy drizzle is likely in Wales and southern Ireland. The more persistent rain reserved for western Scotland, whilst Northern Ireland and northwest England stay damp too. A few spots of rain to the east, generally cloudy here. Temperatures at a much milder 9 to 12C.
Thursday Night
Overnight it is going to be staying windy over much of the country, a risk of gales in the north. Plenty of cloud around across the whole country. A band of rain is going to be moving south through Ireland and northern England through the early hours and it is here that the winds will be to gale force. Drier weather into Scotland for a time, although heavy showers and rain returning to the north later. Over Wales it is likely to be breezy and drizzle, whilst England has cloudy skies but mainly dry conditions. A mild night, lows at 7 to 9C.
Friday
Breezy again for Friday with plenty of cloud in all parts of the country. A band of mainly light rain will be passing through the Midlands, Wales and southwest England in the morning. It may stay cloudy and damp all day through southern England and parts of south Wales. Across Scotland it stays breezy with a few showers in the northwest, but elsewhere there should be some drier weather with sunny spells. Cooler through the north at 7C, but still mild in the south at 12C.
Saturday
Periods of rain again over northwest Scotland today, where it will be staying cloudy. Low cloud and some drizzle affecting western coasts of Ireland and Wales too. For much of the rest of Wales and England there will be morning cloud, but this should break allowing some good spells of sunshine to come through. Temperatures rising to a very mild 15C in the sunshine over southern England, 10C in northern Scotland.
