Friday
A windy day with gales across northern England and Scotland. Heavy, blustery showers are expected across Scotland today and as it turns colder a few showers will become wintry in the north. A cloudy, windy morning across England and Wales with outbreaks of rain and drizzle with some heavier bursts across North Wales and north west England. Still a god deal of cloud to come here throughout the afternoon with some patchy rain in the west. A mild afternoon with top temperatures of 8 to 13C but 4C in the north of Scotland.
Friday Night
Less windy with a good deal of cloud across Britain and there will be showers across north west Scotland and some patchy drizzle across south west England. Increasingly windy again during the night with outbreaks of drizzly rain spreading into Northern Ireland, Wales and western parts of Scotland and England. Look for lows of 0 to 4C across Scotland but a milder 5 to 10C for England and Wales.
Saturday
A dull, windy and damp morning to come for much of the United Kingdom with outbreaks of rain and drizzle which will be heavier across western Scotland. Gales are also expected in the north and west. Expect highs of 6 to 9C for most places. Largely dry across South Wales, the Midlands, East Anglia and southern England, perhaps with cloud thinning to a few brighter spells. To the north it stays wet with spells of rain and drizzle. Unseasonably mild with highs of 10 to 15C. A mild night with rain in the north and southern Britain dry but overcast and misty.
Sunday
A band of moderate rain will lie from Scotland into Northern Ireland his morning and this spreads down into northern England, Wales and south west England during the course of the afternoon. For central and southern England it's a dry day with morning cloud breaking to a few sunny spells. As the rain pushes south it becomes patchy and dies out by tonight and as skies clear, it turns colder with a frost developing in many areas. Expect highs of 6 to 10C.
