Sunday
A band of moderate to heavy rain will lie from Scotland into Northern Ireland, north west England and Wales this morning. To the south and east it's mainly dry albeit cloudy, perhaps some sunshine is possible in the south east of England. By afternoon the rain has cleared Scotland and Northern Ireland and will lie across England and Wales but perhaps staying dry across Kent. A few showers then for western Scotland. Another mild afternoon with top temperatures of 7 to 13C north to south.

Sunday Night
A wet evening with rain across central and south east England including East Anglia. This then clears all parts by the early hours. A number of heavy showers will affect western Scotland this evening and tonight with a few wintry ones over the hills. Elsewhere it's dry and mostly clear with a frost developing along with a few icy patches in the north. A colder night with lows of 5 to 8C in south east England but generally 0 to 3C.

Monday
An area of rain will move into Northern Ireland and western Scotland this morning and then into all of Scotland, north west England and western Wales in the afternoon. Central, eastern and southern parts of England will be dry with a sunny morning before it clouds over in the afternoon. Gales are expected to develop across western areas. Very wet and windy this evening and tonight with rain for most places. This will turn more to snow over the Highlands of Scotland. Expect highs of 4 to 9C.

Tuesday
Severe gales are expected to develop across Scotland through the day with gusts to 80 mph possible in the west. Rain is expected to persist across northern and south western Scotland along with Northern Ireland and north west England through the day. Away from these areas it looks essentially dry but with a lot of cloud. Gales will continue across the northern half of the country into the evening and night as the rain becomes confined mostly to Scotland. Expect highs of 5 to 11C.
