Saturday
Windy this morning especially across eastern Scotland and eastern England with north westerly gales and gusts to 60 mph. These will be easing through the day. Apart from a few showers across northern Scotland, it's a dry, bright morning with good sunny spells. During the course of the afternoon cloud will thicken up to bring outbreaks of rain and drizzle to all East Anglia, The Midlands and south east England. The rain will be heaviest across Northern Ireland and western Scotland. A mild day with top temperatures of 6 to 13C north to south.
Saturday Night
Rather windy for this evening with most places having further spells of rain. Tonight the last of the rain clears the far south of England with showers, some wintry for the north of Scotland. In between it's dry with varying cloud and clear spells but too much wind for a frost. Expect minimums of 3 to 8C.
Sunday
Rather windy and feeling colder today. Some rain to come across Northern Ireland today and as this moves into northern Scotland it turns to snow over the hills. Light rain also spreads in across northern parts of England during the afternoon. The rest of England and Wales will be dry through the day with sunny spells giving way to more cloud during the afternoon. Continued dry this evening for East Anglia, the East Midlands and south east England but wet and windy elsewhere. Overnight the rain becomes confined to central and southern England. As it turns cold in the north there is a risk of snow showers for Scotland, Northern Ireland, northern England and the high ground of Wales. Expect highs of 2 to 8C north to south.
Monday
A windy, cold day with a risk of heavy snow showers for Scotland, and northern England today and these will also then affect Wales in the afternoon with a risk of a significant accumulation in the heavier showers. Elsewhere a dry morning but rain showers are expected to develop in the afternoon. Through the evening and night most areas are at risk of snow showers except for the south west of England. Expect highs of 7 to 13C north to south but will be dropping later.
