Monday
A much colder day to come across the United Kingdom. Some locally heavy snow showers are expected across Scotland, northern England and Wales through the day and may give a few centimetres of accumulation. Heavy rain showers are likely across the West Country. A fine, dry and mostly sunny morning for central and south east England. In the afternoon a few showers will develop but staying largely dry here with sunny spells further east. A windy day with highs of 1 to 4C in the north and 5 to 8C in the south.

Monday Night
It becomes less windy this evening with one or two wintry showers for northern Scotland and perhaps Wales and south east England otherwise a dry evening with clear skies. Overnight with clear skies and winds falling light a widespread frost is expected to develop. Expect minimums of 0 to -3C but -4 to -8C across central Scotland.

Tuesday
Rather windy along North Sea coasts this morning then less windy. Showers are expected across northern Scotland, these wintry inland. Fine and dry across the rest of the United Kingdom with sunny spells and patchy cloud after a frosty start. In the afternoon light rain spreads into all of Scotland and into the north of Northern Ireland. Continued dry for England and Wales with the best of the sun in the south. A damp evening and night to come across the northern half of Britain with spells of rain which becomes heavy across Scotland. To the south it stays fair and dry. Expect highs of 5 to 8C north to south.

Wednesday
A milder day to come across the country but windy and damp across Northern Ireland, Scotland, northern England and northern parts of Wales with outbreaks of rain during the day. This will always be heaviest across Scotland. For central and southern England it will remain dry and bright with sunnier spells. The light rain across the north is expected to persist into the evening and night perhaps moving a bit farther south into the North Midlands. Expect highs of 7 to 12C.
