Rain spreading east Milder and less windy seiten=4 abk=focus

Thursday
After a dry, bright start across central and eastern parts of England, rain already into south west England and Wales spreads east into al parts of England this morning. Here the rain lingers for the first part of the afternoon before clearing all but the far south of England later this afternoon. For Scotland and Northern Ireland it's a day of sunshine and showers though few showers will affect eastern Scotland today. Expect highs of 5 to 8C in the north and 8 to 10C in the south.

Thursday Night
A band of rain across the far south of England this evening may drift a tad north into the South Midlands and coastal south Wales. Dry further to the north except for showers in western Scotland. Where any cloud breaks occur, a frost may develop. lows at 0 to 2C in the north and 5 to 8C in the south of England.

Friday
So a wet morning across southern England and South Wales and during the afternoon this is expected to move north into the rest of England and Wales it dries up across the West Country. Scattered showers will affect north west Scotland otherwise a dry day across Scotland and Northern Ireland but with a lot of cloud. A dry night across Scotland but for the rest of Britain rain is expected which will be heaviest across Cornwall and northern England and very patchy in this south east. Highs of 6 to 10C but up to 14C across south west England.

Saturday
A very wet morning across southern Scotland, Northern Ireland, north west England, Wales and south west England. Dry for northern Scotland with lighter rain for southern England. For the afternoon the belt of heavy rain lies across southern Scotland and northern England with a risk of some heavy, possibly thundery showers for the rest of England and Wales. Most areas will see some rain into the evening and night. Expect highs of 5 to 8C across Scotland, 9 to 13C for England and Wales.
