Heavy rain clearing Turning colder seiten=4 abk=focus
Sunday
A wet morning across much of England and Wales. The heaviest of the rain over parts of the Midlands, these reaching East Anglia. Drizzle for southern England and Wales and plenty of mist and fog patches too. Windier weather across northern England and Scotland making it feel cold here. Showers across eastern Scotland and northeast England, some of them heavy and those showers turning increasingly wintry as well over the high ground. The best of conditions for western parts of Scotland. Into this afternoon the rain should slowly clear away to the east, although it may be evening before it clears East Anglia and southeast England. Cloudy too for much of Wales and southwest England and becoming increasingly cool here. Further showers and strong winds for eastern Scotland and England, with drier weather in western areas. Sunny spells, the best in the west with strong northeast winds for all. Temperatures rising to 6C on eastern coasts, 9C in the far southwest of England.
Sunday Night
A cold night to come with a brisk northeast wind in all places. There will be some rain at first over the southeast, but this should clear away. Showers are going to be affecting the north and east of Scotland and northeast England, these wintry on high ground. Mainly clear skies through much of the Midlands, northern England and Ireland. Under those clearer skies a frost is likely, with the highest risk of this across the northwest Midlands and northwest England. Low temperatures in these areas around -1C, but nearer 1 to 3C in southeast England.
Monday
A cold start to the day with broken cloud and showers over northern and eastern Scotland, as well as northeast England on Monday morning with wintry showers over the Scottish Hills. Further west it is going to be dry with plenty of sunshine and will be feeling cool too. The afternoon sees some thicker cloud drifting into eastern Scotland and England with showers in the north. Feeling very cold here in the wind. The best of the sunshine again across Wales and southwest England as well as Ireland. Temperatures at 5C in Scotland, nearer 9C in southwest England.
Tuesday
A cold and cloudy morning over Scotland and eastern England with some spots of rain and showers, wintry over the hills of eastern and northern Scotland. Through the western Midlands, Wales, southwest England and Ireland it should be a dry start to the day with sunshine and some frost here and there. Cloud thickens in the afternoon with some drizzle moving through central and eastern England. More cloud through Wales, although there should be some bright spells in the far southwest of England. Feeling cold in the east at 6C, 8C in western Wales.
