Cold, some sunshine Drizzle in the east seiten=4 abk=focus
Monday
High pressure is going to be building in during the course of today, and that is going to be bringing an improvement in the weather. There will be some good spells of sunshine this morning across much of southwest England, Wales, northwest England, western Scotland and Ireland. Thicker cloud through southern and eastern parts of the country, and feeling cold for all of us too. This afternoon sees the cloud thickening to the east, and this may bring a few spots of drizzle onto the coasts of Scotland, northeast England and East Anglia; feeling very cold here too. Over western areas it should stay dry and bright, the best sunshine across western Wales, southwest Scotland and Ireland. A cool day with temperatures at 5C along those eastern coasts, nearer 9C in the sunshine in the west.
Monday Night
Tonight sees the cloud and outbreaks of drizzle continuing to affect eastern coastal areas, perhaps turning wintry over high ground and leading to some slippery roads and pavements. Clearer skies through much of central and western England. Wales, Ireland and western Scotland are also likely to become dry. With light winds here a widespread frost is likely to form. Stronger winds along eastern coasts. Lows near -3C in the clearer skies in the west, nearer 0C over eastern coasts.
Tuesday
Those eastern coasts will still be cloudy with some spots of light rain or drizzle through Tuesday morning. A risk of some sleet or light snow over the tops of the Grampians and Highlands. For most of central and southern England and Wales, as well as Ireland the morning should be dry with more sunshine. During Tuesday afternoon there will be an increase in cloud through northern England, the Midlands and southeast England with the spots of rain still affect eastern coasts. High parts of Scotland further troubled by some light snow. A cold day at 6 to 8C.
Wednesday
Those outbreaks of drizzle and light rain, as well as some thicker cloud continuing to affect Scotland and much of eastern and central England. A few showers over Northern Ireland. Elsewhere it will be dry with a fair amount of cloud, but feeling chilly too. The best of the sunshine across Cornwall and southern parts of Ireland. Temperatures at 5 to 8C and feeling especially cold in the wind.
