Friday
Very blustery this morning with gales across much of the country and gusts of 60 mph in the north west. A lot of cloud to come across Britain with outbreaks of rain across England and showers for Wales and Scotland. These will be wintry across the Scottish hills. Continued windy and cold in the afternoon with rain across central and south east England. Elsewhere expect outbreaks of snow. While much of it looks light some heavy snow is possible over the northern hills. Just a few rain showers to come across south west England. Feeling bitterly cold in those winds with high of 2 to 5C for the north, 5 to 7C in the south.

Friday Night
A windy, cold evening and night to come across Britain with gales expected now around North Sea coasts. Western and northern areas will have outbreaks of snow which may turn heavy overnight o give some heavy accumulations to Wales, parts of the Midlands and northern England. Further rain is expected in the south east and across the West Country too. Expect lows at 0 to -3C for the north, 1 to 3C in the south.

Saturday
Very cold and windy today. This morning some rain will affect the far south of England with rain showers for Northern Ireland. Elsewhere outbreaks of snow and snow flurries are likely. Little change is expected into the afternoon with further outbreaks of snow for most places. While much of it will be light, some heavier snow showers will affect north east England and Scotland with some accumulation possible. The snow will be mixed with sleet across central and southern England. This evening a heavier pulse of snow across eastern Scotland is forecast to run down into eastern parts of England giving anywhere from 2-4cm at low levels and 5-10cm for high ground. Highs at 2 to 5C with a significant wind chill added in.

Easter Sunday
Rain across south west England will clear by the afternoon then expect a few showers. Outbreaks of snow are possible elsewhere with this heavy across East Anglia. In the afternoon a lot of cloud to come along with scattered sleet and snow showers. Some brighter spells will develop as well. A very cold night to come with widespread ice on untreated roads and pavements. Snow showers will persist across Wales and Scotland otherwise it's dry and clear. Highs today of 3 to 6C north.
