Easter Monday
Rather cloudy through much of western Scotland, Ireland, Wales and southwest England to start the week. There will be some outbreaks of light rain here too, the most persistent of it over Ireland. Some wintry showers for the north and east of Scotland, with some further wintry showers affecting the coasts of East Anglia. Elsewhere the day should be starting dry and bright with some good spells of sunshine, although there will be some icy patches on roads first thing. During this afternoon the rain in the west will be fading with some sunny spells coming through here. A few more wintry showers over the north and east of Scotland, but for most the day is going to be bright and dry with sunny spells. A cold day in the east with tops of 4C, milder in the west at 8C.

Monday Night
More snow showers again troubling eastern coasts of Scotland and England tonight, some of them making it inland to the eastern Midlands. A few could be heavier and may bring a covering of snow to some places. There will be cloudier skies across much of Ireland and southwest England too. Western coasts of Wales could see thicker cloud from time to time. Elsewhere the night is going to be dry and clear with a widespread frost forming. Lows near 0 to -4C in the north and east, nearer 3C in the far west of England and 5C in western Ireland.

Tuesday
Thickening cloud bringing rain to Ireland, southwest England and perhaps the far southwest of Wales on Tuesday morning, this slowly edging east into the afternoon. Wintry showers continuing to affect eastern coasts. In between it should be bright and dry with some sunny spells after an early frost. Little change is expected through the day with temperatures rising to 4C in northeast England, but a milder 10C in the far southwest of England.

Wednesday
A cloudy and damp day with outbreaks of rain affecting much of Northern Ireland, northern England and central southern England. Some heavy showers following to southwest England and southern Wales. Staying cold for northeast England and the far northeast of Scotland, but mainly dry here, at least until evening when some sleet and rain arrives. Highs at 4C in northeast Scotland, 10C in southwest England.
