Sunday
An unsettled day across the country with low pressure stationed to the north of Scotland. Frequent, heavy showers and strong winds for Scotland and parts of Northern Ireland, with heavy showers breaking out across Wales and northwest England. Most inland parts of England start the day dry, but here the showers will soon get going. These are going to be turning heavier into the mid to late morning and afternoon. More persistent rain affects southern Ireland in the afternoon, this pushing east to be into the far southwest of Wales and southwest England by the evening. Temperatures rising to 10C in northern Scotland, nearer a milder 14C in southern England.
Sunday Night
Overnight rain will be crossing Wales and the central and southern parts of England, with drier weather following through Ireland before midnight. This drier weather then arrives through Wales and southwest England in the early hours of Monday morning. Many eastern and northern areas should stay dry with clear skies and a slight frost forming. Further showers for the north and west of Scotland, where it is also going to be windy. Low temperatures at -2C under the clearer skies through northern England, 4C in west Wales and southern England.
Monday
Morning cloud and showers affecting the Midlands, East Anglia and southwest England with a few making it to northeast England. A ridge of high pressure then follows from the west bringing a fine day to most of Wales and western England. Ireland too starts the day fine with sunny spells, but cloud thickens here in the afternoon, the winds increase and rain moves in. Further showers for the north of Scotland throughout the day, but these should fade with most of the country then dry with sunny spells. Temperatures at a mild 15C in southern England, 10C in northern Scotland.
Tuesday
A change on Tuesday to more unsettled weather with low pressure over northern Scotland. Strong winds affecting all areas as a band of heavy rain pushes eastwards. This rain will be followed by blustery showers, most of them around west Wales, western England, Scotland and western Ireland. Elsewhere some sunny spells, but windy. Those winds to gale force in exposed western areas. Highs at 8C in central Scotland 14C in southern England and feeling cooler in that wind.
