Wednesday
Dry and bright with some sunshine this morning across central and eastern parts of England and Scotland. A lot of low cloud across Northern Ireland, Wales and the West Country with some patchy bits of mainly light rain and drizzle. Most places will be rather cloudy through the afternoon with light drizzly rain across Northern Ireland, western Wales and western parts of England and Scotland. Quite a mild day with highs of 10 to 13C in the north and 13 to 16C for the south.
Wednesday Night
Still a good deal of cloud across the United Kingdom with sporadic outbreaks of patchy light rain and drizzle across Scotland and northern England this evening and overnight. Some clear spells will develop in the south east with some mist and fog over the hills. A mild night with lows around 7 to 10C for most areas.
Thursday
Mainly dry with lots of cloud across Britain at first this morning with some patchy drizzle across western Scotland and central England. It will brighten up later this morning and this develops further to sunnier spells for the afternoon. More persistent rain spreads into northern Scotland this evening and tonight. Some patchy drizzle too across East Anglia. Fair and dry elsewhere. Remaining exceptionally mild with highs of 12 to 18C north to south..
Friday
An area of light rain across Scotland and Northern Ireland will drop south into northern England and Wales with a few showers in the south. As it turns cold in the north, showers will turn wintry over the hills. Most places become dry this evening but wintry showers will affect northern Scotland, Wales and parts of north east England. A gusty northerly wind develops across Scotland tonight. Highs of 6 to 11C in the north, 13 to 17C in the south.
