Saturday
A much colder day to come across the United Kingdom with an increasing northerly wind. Showers are expected across Scotland, Northern Ireland, northern England and East Anglia. Across northern Scotland the showers will fall as snow. Elsewhere it's a dry morning with sunny spells. In the afternoon it will be largely dry across Wales and the West Country with occasional showers for the rest of Britain. The showers across Scotland will be of snow and will become heavy. Highs of 4 to 7C for Scotland, 8 to 10C for England and Wales.

Saturday Night
Rather windy this evening with snow showers likely across Scotland, northern England and northern Wales. Just a few sleety showers in the south otherwise dry for the evening. Overnight gales will give temporary blizzards to Scotland with snow showers across eastern England, Wales and south west England. A very cold night with lows of 0 to -4C.

Sunday
Windy especially across the north. The far south will be dry this morning but elsewhere there will be snow showers and these will be heavy across Scotland, Wales and north east England with a possible accumulation of 3-5cm and 5-10cm over the hills. A cold, windy afternoon with snow and outbreaks of snow, heavy in places. Showers across the south west and southern east England will be more of sleety rain. Snow showers will become confined to Scotland tonight with a widespread and hard frost overnight along with icy patches on untreated roads and pavements. Highs of 2 to 4C in the east and 5 to 7C across Wales and south west England.

Monday
Snow is expected across Wales this morning with a few snow showers across Scotland, otherwise a very cold but dry and sunny morning. In the afternoon most areas will see showers with perhaps longer spells of rain for Wales and Cornwall. A few snow showers are possible across eastern England and northern Scotland. Most places are dry and clear overnight and very cold with a widespread and locally severe frost. Highs of 3 to 8C.
